I have been a regular user of Audacity on a Ubuntu system. Just upgraded to Latest Edge, and Audacity is unable to load files or open the M2 drive on which I normally work. Otherwise the drive functions as usual for copying or with other applications. Audacity can open and save files in the Videos directory on the system drive. Please advise.
Does anything in this post suggest an avenue to pursue?
Thanks but this looks like a different problem. Different OS, different error message, different sours (snap vs PM). Audacity is unable to even access the drive, with the message that permissions are missing. No other program has this problem.
Unless this issue can be resolved I feel I may have to abandon Audacity in favour of a more trustworthy solution. A shame, since I’ve been using it for more than 15 years.
