New PC w Windows 11, just installed Audacity 3.7.0. I have found the following settings allow me to record audio from the internet (google/youtube/etc). Also, I have headphones connected to the stereo-audio-out of the PC.
Interface: Windows WASAPI
Playback Device: Digital Audio (S/PDIF)
Recording Device: Speakers (H.D. Audio Device)
To playback the audio I have to change the Playback Device to Speakers.
The next time I am recording, If I forgot to switch the Playback Device back to Digital Audio, I get a strong feedback loop when I try to next record.
I have search the internet but not found a solution. Is there a setting somewhere I am not getting correct ? Any recommendations appreciated.
