From what I’ve seen, this usually happens because of how some desktop environments handle AppImage apps and focus/shortcut grabbing. You might want to try launching Audacity from the terminal with ./Audacity.AppImage --no-sandbox and see if that changes anything. Also, if you’re using any custom global shortcuts or window managers (like tiling ones), they can sometimes interfere.
