I installed V4 yesterday via Musehub and it worked fine. Today it will not start, I just get a brief ‘wait’ circle and nothing or sometimes a message “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?”. I’ve uninstalled the app and reloaded using the download without musehub link on audacityteam.org with no change. Tried changing the W11 audio settings in case it’s a startup problem, ran Norton utilities to clean up the machine, restarted. Nothing works. V3.7.9 still works perfectly. I’ve seen a thread from last year about this but there is still no fix.
I’m planning to run some training on Audacity for a new U3A podcast group and would rather be using the new version if I can get it to run!
