Hi! I’ve been a longtime user of Audacity and I love it’s simplicity. The new version really have a beautiful GUI and everything looks really colorful and polished. I wanted to provide some feedback regarding the controls for track gains. I frequently record tracks with multiple microphones and use Audacity to line everything up and during this process, I usually make fine adjustments to the microphone levels via the individual track gain controls.
As of now, the slider is set with a range of -60 to +12, which makes it very challenging me to make fine adjustments. Usually the adjustments I make are between 0 and -10dB, but this large range makes is hard to do so. If there is an option to either restrict the range or add a text box so that I can manually type in the gain, that’ll be a lot easier to do this fine-tuning as opposed to fighting with a small slider.
