That functionality hasn’t been implemented yet and may get added to a future version of audacity 4. In the meantime, I have added it to my web port of audacity 4: Soundscaper

I’ve watched the video - last year, when it was first released, and again when Audacity 4 came out - and the version 4 Tantacrul is describing in it sounds fantastic. Unfortunately, the version 4 that I downloaded is feature-incomplete, is unnecessarily more fiddly to use than v3 because of entirely unmotivated UI changes (little things, like removing middle mouse drag to scroll horizontally or making “play the selected audio” no longer the default play action), and is woefully unstable. I think my expectations were actually set much higher by this video than they would have been otherwise.

I hear you. I’m glad it finally got released, even if in an incomplete state. I can understand the rationale for doing that.
For serious work though, waiting until a new major version gets one or two point releases tends to be a sensible, conservative approach. My use case is very simple, so I can’t really talk about the shortcomings at this point. Now it is a matter of time before it begins to get polished and new features get incrementally added on top of the Qt6 base - which will allow faster development.
