I have used Audacity 4.0.1 successfully for several days. Today I tried to open it and it quit immediately – not a crash, just the little icon bouncing left and right for a second or two, then stopping. I watched its progress in the Force Quit window: the icon and name appeared in the list (as if the program was running), then disappeared. I am running Monterey 12.7.6 on a MacBook Pro.
