I upgraded to 3.6.1 last night and it now hangs on loading and I can’t close it without rebooting my laptop.
Uninstalled and installed 3.4.2 which doesn’t hang but won’t load any of my projects because they were created in a newer version.
So basically I’m stuffed. 
The same thing has now happened on my Desktop, I’m running the latest version of Window 11 on both machines, one’s a Razer Blade 17 (Mid 2021). The other is an MSI desktop, not sure of the model. The Razer has 16GB memory the Desktop 32GB.
Fixed it. Uninstalled Audacity, cleared computer cache, reinstalled Audacity 3.6.1 and reset settings on installation, which is a pain as I had a lot of plugins.
Which version of that? Tools > Reset Configuration, or rip everything out to a clean start?

I uninstalled Audacity, re-downloaded and re-installed it, on installation there is a check box that says something like “Reset Settings”, I checked that and did a clean install.
