Audacity 3.6.0 missing audio info

Hello. I installed 3.6.0 and opening a file noticed info is missing that used to be there. I don’t know the name of the box or toolbar, but on the left under Mute, Solo, Effects,+ -, L R, it used to say things like Stereo, 44100Hz, 32-bit float. I don’t see that with 3.6.0. Anyone know a way to get it back or if that is intended or a bug? Image here is from 3.5.1. Thanks.

It is intended as an improvement.

I’m no more than a novice at Audacity, but just out of curiosity what about removing that info makes it better? And is there a possibility of having a settings option to bring it back? Thanks.

I think it’s part of making Audacity look more clean and modern.

Dang. I really liked it.

There are also times when being able to see the track sample rate is really useful, but now to see the track sample rate requires clicking on the three dots next to the track name, then selecting “Rate” and looking to see which sample rate is selected, and if it is a non-standard rate, clicking on “Other”. Just another thing that is a bit less convenient for people that want to use Audacity as an audio editor.
