I’ve seen that in the last release .au3 files has become very large, 8x more than previous release. There’s an explanation, or it’s something that I did wrong?
It’s normal.
AUP3 files are database files that store the audio in uncompressed 32-bit floating point (twice the size of an equivalent uncompressed 16-bit file). Plus there’s other information and possibly multiple different copies of the audio so you can “undo”, etc.
…I just did a quick experiment - I opened a file and exported it as 16-bit WAV. Then without any editing or anything I saved it as an AUP3 project, which should be a minimal project. The project file was slightly-more than twice the size of the WAV.
Personally, I rarely make project files but of course that depends on what you’re doing.
