Asking for help: audacity crashes after installing open vino ai with new version 3.7.7

Hi,

I have been using audacity for a few years, but it’s my first time on this forum. I had no problem with the open vino AI 2 versions ago and loved using it.

With the version before this latest, Audacity crashed after I installed the open vino ai. I just deleted the open vino files and was able to use the audacity program without it.

Now I have downloaded the latest version (3.7.7) and was hoping this problem was fixed, so I downloaded the vino open ai again. But after I installed it, Audacity crashed once more. What a drag! It won’t even send a crash report.

But I really miss it the noise reduction capacities of this plugin and would love to find a solution to this .I want to use the plugin and not just delete it again as a workaround.

Well, somehow the problem resolved. Still not sure how. I was reading some other suggestions for this, like remove the OpenCL.dll file from the Audacity folder, which I tried. The thing didn’t crash anymore, but I couldn’t use the AI noise reduction. Then I removed another file, as suggested by another post, and the whole thing crashed again. I put the files back and was going to do a uninstall and re-install, but it started to work. Wish I knew more about computers so I could understand what happened.

I found that Music Separations worked fine with 3.7.7 but Super Resolution didn’t. I have read that there is a stability problem with OpenVino in 3.7.7.
