append audio file to other audio file with pause in between

Hi,

I import an audio file into my project.
What I want then, is to append another audio file to this first audio file but with a pause of 5 minutes between them.
So that when I play it, the first audio file is played, then a pause of 5 minutes before the second audio file is played.

Can somebody help me with this?

Import the two files. They are on top of each other in Audacity.

Zoom out (CTRL + 3).

Press F5 to select Time Shift Tool then click and drag the second track where you want it to go.

The tracks will be mixed to one file when you export, but if you want to see them as one track in Audacity you can Tracks > Mix and Render.
