You don’t seem to have understood my email. I know where your forum is. That is why I am a member. I tried to get information from your forum, but could not. I have resolved the problem elsewhere. 3.7.1 is still dodgy. I have reloaded it for the time being because your 3.5 would not give me access to months of work done in 3.7.1. This is not entirely audacity’s fault because I’m sure you’re aware that Windows has a nasty (and stupid) habit of changing the status of any files that one has merely accessed or referenced as “last modified” (and therefore processed in 3.7.1). As a result, microsoft and audacity combined to temporarily corrupt (now resolved) archival files from a decade ago. I tell you this because you may have sufficient respect for your users to warn them (or even correct the program’s problems).
My main concern however is that you have not understood that I have asked you to cancel my membership and prevent the flood of help requests (now over 250) which your unfortunate users have directed to my email.
Best wishes,
Ian Coulls.
