An issue i am facing since i installed audacity on my new linux installation

Hello there
I have installed audacity on my new linux mint installation. While playing an audio for some reason the green playback line does not erase unless i minimize and return back to the application this happens for quite some time and it really bothers me. previously i was a windows 11 user where in audacity no issue like this happened.

not sure why this is happening, but i would greatly appreciate it if you could help me fix the issue.

Is the computer the same, only equipped with a new operating system - or is it a different computer as well?

If it is a different computer, I would guess this is an error in the graphics processor or it’s Linux drivers. If it is the same computer, I have no idea…

It is the same computer.
the graphics card on this thing is a gtx 1650, and the linux drivers seem to work perfectly.
