Align all tracks to end at the same time

Hello,

I’m using windows 10 with Audacity 3.0.2.

Is there a way to align all tracks so they end at the same time? Currently I tried using Align->End to selection end, but what ends happening is that the track that is the longest will move there and all other tracks will not end at the end of my selection. Is there an easy and quick way to do this?

This is what I’d like to do:

(If the absolute end time is important, add a label at that point first.)

  • “Ctrl + A” (Select All)
  • If you have a label track, “Ctrl + Click” on the label track to deselect it.
  • “Effect menu > Reverse”
  • “Tracks menu > Align > Align Together”
  • “Effect menu > Reverse”
  • If necessary, use the Time Shift Tool to drag all of the tracks to line up with the label that you created at the start.

Yes, this works perfectly. Just making sure that using Reverse effect is not affecting recording’s quality at all, right?

Right. It’s just reversing the sequence of the samples, not changing the sample values.
