akai lpk25

I have used audacity on a previous computer which may have been other than Windows 10 and another with windows 10. I have recorded from a microphone with a 3.5mm socket connection successfully but never had success with keyboard input from the akai lpk25. I have installed the drivers on the current windows 10 computer via the disc supplied with the keyboard.

So far I have altered the category in the far left dialogue box beneath the play record buttons.

windows wasapi records but receives no input
mme and windows direct sound give an error box “error opening sound device try changing audio host and sample rate and recording device.”

I have not been able to test other recording devices as the current computer doesn’t have a mike socket facility.

Any suggestions?

The USB connection on the Akai lpk25 is for MIDI, not audio.
