Advice: High Heel Sounds Editing

Hello,

I needed to add some more lower frequency (bass) to recorded high heel shoe sounds. Right now the high heels are more of a “slap” sound in the higher frequencies, and without compromising quality is there a way I can have it more of a boom in the lower frequencies?

What is this technique called, and how would I go about doing this?

Thank You,

The “knock” frequency range is between 100Hz & 200Hz

One possible solution is to get a guitar transducer which is designed to stick on the guitar body and stick it on the floor. The person walking by will be recorded through the wood of the floor (a wooden floor will transmit more of the acoustic energy than linoleum or tile. You would do best to record two tracks one with a microphone and one with the transducer so you balance time impact sound with the room sound. The guitar transducer is a piezo electric pickup designed to be attached to the surface of an acoustic guitar and can be found online with the search terms “guitar stick-on piezo pickup”. It is usually I high-impedance (Hi-Z) pickup that would require an Impedance adapter (a direct box) if it is going into a low impedance input .
