ACX Checks - can't get all three to pass

I meet the noise floor, and either the RMS or the Peak level. But if I adjust one, then the other doesn’t pass.

So if I have Peak level - pass, RMS fail and noise floor pass

Adjust by changing either the normalize, and the loudness normalization- Peak level fails, RMS pass and noise floor pass.

I need some help. I need both the peak level and the RMS and the noise level to pass. So far, the noise level passes all the time.

The order in which you do things matters. Here’s what works for me.

  1. loudness normalization – RMS, -20dB
  2. noise reduction (if needed) (don’t overdo it - for my equipment/studio I use -20dB)
  3. editing
  4. Repeat loudness normalization
  5. Using the legacy limiter - Input gain 0, limit to (dB) -3.5, hold 10 ms, apply make-up gain no.
  6. confirm using ACX check plugin
