ACX Check Plug-in Exception Code 0x1

Trying to install the ACX Check plugin that I dowloaded off of this forum. When I start Audacity and use the Nyguist Plugin Installer, Audacity crashes and I get an error:

There were a couple of issues with the latest releases of Audacity 3.4.0 and 3.4.1. May I suggest reverting to 3.3.3 until 3.4.2 has been released. Old Audacity versions download

If you have the file there, it should look like this in Get Info.

It’s a Nyquist text file.

Yes, that is it. It causes Audacity to crash. I will revert to 3.3.3 until 3.4.2. Thank you for your quick responses!

3.3.3 Worked. Thank you so much!

I think I would stick with 3.3.3 until there is a firm, clear reason to upgrade. Let 3.4.2 marinate in user juices for a while and check the forum for errors and damage before you leap.

For one close-in example, 3.4.1 won’t even install gracefully on my machine. 3.3.3 installs and seems to work just fine.

Are you reading books? First one?

ACX-Check is only one of the two handy as can be tools.
