Hey everyone, not sure if this is the right category to ask about ACX Check. I’m pretty familiar with DAWs, installations, etc., but I haven’t used Audacity much. I recently installed it on my Mac Studio Ultra (running macOS 15.1.1) and downloaded the ACX Check plugin. I followed the steps to add it to the plugins list, but I can’t seem to get it working. Interestingly, it works fine on my 10-year-old laptop, but not on the Mac. Does anyone know if ACX Check is compatible with Silicon M1 Macs running the latest OS? I’m completely stuck and any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Oh, and Merry Christmas
Plugins have to be installed and enabled before they appear in a menu*.
The enable step is via Audacity’s plugin manager, then restart Audacity.

Thanks for the info, Trebor but I did do all of that. As I mentioned in my first post, all went well with the Macbook Air. With my Mac Studio, not so much. It’s the strangest thing. Does this file work with Silicon Macs?
I just installed ACX-check on Audacity 3.7.0.0 on Windows.
It does work, but if you don’t select the audio you want checked there is an error message …
I did do what you’re suggesting. Remember that this worked on my Mac laptop, no problem there. Once installed, I don’t see it in the Analyze menu. Now I get a pop-up that says incompatible plugins found, having ACX Check in the list. I’m hoping to get clarification on whether this file is compatible with Mac Silicon. Thanks!
So after multiple ACX-Check downloads, of which I received a “Failed” message every time I tried to install it in Audacity, I finally got this bugger to work when adding it directly into the plugins folder. Consider this closed.
