ACX-Check Crashes Audacity

If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated. I’m having issues running the ACX check. When I try to run an ACX check, it causes audacity to crash. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so how did you fix it?
Thank you in advance

I split your posting off from the others. If you piggyback onto the end of a long, foreign posting, you get lost.

Audacity vanishes, or it freezes?

Do you use any on-line storage? Google G-Drive or anything like that? How long was the show? Do you have either WAV or Lossless Project backups?

When was the last time you started your machine cold? Shift-Shutdown > Wait > Start.

Not Restart and not Regular Shutdown.

The length of audio selected & how much free memory you have are factors,

I sent an email to the poster, so it may just be dark in their part of the earth.

Hi all!

I’m having a problem with ACX Check crashing Audacity 2.3.3. I just updated to 2.3.3 today because I thought my older version (2.1.3, I think) was responsible for the plugin crashing on a longer file than I usually record (previous files were between 10 and 20 minutes). My file is 36 minutes long. I’ve shut down the laptop and started it back up, then tried again. It still crashes.

Help! Thank you!

ACX Check can run out of resources and stop working.

If you have good Room Tone (quiet background sound on both ends of your performance—as you probably should), then it’s valid to drag-select the first half, check it, then drag-select the last half and check that. If you used our Audiobook Mastering Suite on your voice, those two sets of numbers should come out nearly the same—maybe fractionally different.

Thank you, I’ll give that a try.

I’m just starting out, so I’m didn’t know about your Audiobook Mastering Suite. I just looked it up in the wiki and will try that with my next recording.

Thank you again!
