The macros have been removed from Audacity 4 which we need to master ACX files. When will this be available in Audacity 4?
As far as I’m aware there has been no news on that.
That’s the first thing I noticed. Where are my macros for mastering??? I have read that they are bringing back the Macro Manager in future updates. Whatever that means. I had to reload my ACX check plug in again too. Good thing I still kept version 3.
The Audacity 4 downloads page needs an advisory of missing features compared to Audacity 3, instead of being buried in the Change Log:
Additionally, Audacity 4 ships with some missing exporting and rendering features, analyzers, and effects.
Yeah really. Features like:
- Macros
- Export multiple
- Mix and render
- Cut preview
- Effects that are in the menu but return an “Effect no found” error.
Yeah, this is about the dumbest upgrade I’ve seen since the Coke Cola recipe change. They had to eventually go back to the old recipe.
One would have to think, “Who thought this was a good idea to release before completion?”
