4.0 Beta 2 absolute refusal to open

(Reposting here in case anyone here specifically knows what’s going on)

So, I installed Beta 2 a few days ago, and it worked great! For an hour or so it worked great! Then at some point it just decided to… not let me move clips anymore? It would select select select, but dragging the name bar above clips just did nothing (not sure if this was user error on my part or an actual bug). At that point, I decided to close and reopen it to fix this, after which it just… wouldn’t start anymore, ever. Not even fully uninstalling-reinstalling the beta, not after rebooting the entire PC, not even after mucking about in the registry. Always always always, it would make it to the first loading splash screen, but would then just quickly call it quits and close itself, as seen in Task Manager.

Stranger still is that the Alpha version still works, it’s just this particular Beta version. What’s going on here? Is there some secret Windows malware detection thing kicking in and saying no?

(Oh also, the log that it was spitting out every time it failed to start, chances are the answer is in there:)
