Need help with Audacity 2.1.3 OS X Yosemite

Help for Audacity 2.x.x on Mac OS X.

Since we don't know what caused your problem it's kind of hard to suggest a way to prevent it!

That said, I like to do File > Save Project As before I begin recording. That way all recorded audio goes into the project directory instead of the temp directory. Subsequent saves are super-fast. You do save at each break in recording, don't you? ;)
