So, I took my MXL mic out of the house to use, and since I have brought it back, my gain has gone way down. I put the mic on high, and stood right up on it, and still my gain was way below where it normally is. When I was out of the house using the mic, I did reset toolbars in audacity, and I was wondering if that could have possibly changed something important. All the other preferences are correct, meaning that the input is coming from my microphone, not from the laptop speakers, but I still cannot seem to get anything with enough volume on it. Any suggestions?
