Cursor travel out of screen

I have Audacity 2.2.2. on Windows 10 on a Surface Pro.

Briefly: The screen does not follow the cursor once the cursor is out of sight. Sound playback continues, but obviously it is not possible to see where it has got to. Consequently it is necessary to stop the cursor as it approaches the right hand side and reposition the screen so that the cursor is now on the left hand side. Apart from that everything works as normal. This problem has only happened today.

Try closing and restarting Audacity.

If that does not fix it, go to “Edit menu > Preferences > Tracks” and ensure that “Auto-scroll if head unpinned” is enabled.

Thanks for your reply. Neither of your remedies corrects the problem. Any other ideas? Regards Graham

Try upgrading to Audacity 2.3.0, and during the installation, select the option to “Reset Preferences”.
The Audacity 2.3.0 installer is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/

Thanks. That has cured it. All seems to be well. Your help is greatly appreciated
