I just rebuilt my computer, and of course went to install Audacity, grabbed the latest/current 2.2.2… as was a bit surprised to see I still need to install the LAME encoder separately.
Yeah, yeah, I know: patents and all that… except the MP3 patents expired last year. The Mp3 format is now patent free. So is integrating the Lame encoder directly into Audacity on the roadmap somewhere?
