Remove and/or prevent Honky/Horse spots from audio

I’m a newbie to podcasting and editing audio in general. I have been getting subtle honky sound spots throughout my last few tracks. Maybe 30-50 times in a 35 min track. Its subtle but it sounds like a pig. Is there a way to remove or reduce and how do I prevent it in the future (better mic technique, etc.) thanks

IMO the most conspicuous fault is the click on “Saints”. The DeClicker plugin here will remove it …

You could try not talking directly at the mic, but at a point a few inches over/under it,
e.g. with the mic at eye-level or throat-level , not mouth level.
