FFmpeg library: not recognised

Windows 11 version 21H2; Audacity version 3.1.3
Audacity does not recognise the installed FFmpeg library

Installed the FFmpeg library via the download link in C:\Program Files\FFmpeg For Audacity.
Start Audacity and go to Preferences (ctrl + p).
Navigate to Libraries.
Dialogue box states “FFmpeg library not found”
Click on “Locate…”
In the location field, it states, “To find ‘avformat.dll’, click here -->”
Click on “Browse…”
Navigate to C:\Program Files\FFmpeg For Audacity
Select avformat-55.dll (there is no avformat.dll) and click Open
Field is updated with location of file (C:\Program Files\FFmpeg For Audacity\avformat-55.dll)
Click OK
Dialogue box still states “FFmpeg library not found”

Any suggestions as to what I’m doing incorrectly, please? Thank you.

If you are using the 64-bit version of Audacity (the default version from: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/)
then you need the 64-bit version of FFmpeg, from: https://lame.buanzo.org/ffmpeg64audacity.php
Full instructions are here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_ffmpeg_for_windows.html

If you are using the 32-bit version of Audacity for Windows, then it’s the same instructions but you will need the 32-bit version of FFmpeg (from the same download page).
