Error saving project

I have Audacity version 2.1.0, and I have recently been having the problem where it will not let me save my file

Please install Audacity properly rather than run it from the DMG, then you won’t have the problem:

Installation: Do NOT run Audacity from the DMG!!!!

Mac downloads of Audacity are at http://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac. If you obtain the DMG of Audacity please install Audacity properly thus: Double-click the downloaded .dmg to mount it. Drag the “Audacity” folder from the newly mounted .dmg to the “Applications” icon underneath “Places” on the left of Finder.
