[Bug] App freezes while editing

I’m already upgraded to version 3.x of audacity because the version that I use is really old (2.4.2)

I’m upgraded to latest version of audacity, after opening. the app suddenly freezes, i closing it via start menu. it’s showed but it refused to press it. i forced to kill it using task manager. after restarting. the problem same again. i finally have a backup setup file to downgrade this version.

This problem sounds very similar to a problem several users with Japanese and Chinese character sets were having that started with a recent Windows update. What language are you using in Audacity? Does switching to English change anything?

You may be able to fix it by updating Windows again - Microsoft claim to have fixed the bug.
