Where exactly is the file “xalimo.aup”?

What is the full and exact name of the project’s _data folder?
Where exactly is the project data folder?

the projects file folder is in the documents as well i found it
however its still called by its original name audacity aduio for youtube video_data

Do you mean the project was originally called:

“audacity aduio for youtube video”
or
“audacity audio for youtube video”
or something else?

yes thats what i mean

You need to know the “exact” name. “aduio” is not the same as “audio”.

Please attach the “xalimo.aup” file to your reply (see here: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/how-to-attach-files-to-forum-posts/24026/1)

can this be deleted after as it contains my file

There is no actual audio in an AUP file. It only “points to” the audio files on your hard drive, which nobody can see.

All that it contains is instructions for Audacity.
This is (part of) what the contents of the file look like:

<?xml version="1.0" standalone="no" ?>
<!DOCTYPE project PUBLIC "-//audacityproject-1.3.0//DTD//EN" "http://audacity.sourceforge.net/xml/audacityproject-1.3.0.dtd" >

  1. Copy the “xalimos.aup” file to your desktop and name it exactly “audacity aduio for youtube video.aup”.
After renaming the file, right click on it and select “Properties” and check that the name is EXACTLY “audacity aduio for youtube video.aup”

  2. Copy the folder “audacity aduio for youtube video_data” to your Desktop.

  3. Launch Audacity.
