When you downloaded VS2017, did you also include the Desktop Development in C++ Workload Package?

No. Let me try to install that, try again, and report back!

After installing Desktop Development in C++ Workload Package, it compiled successfully!

FYI I updated my Audacity With ASIO easy build script to 3.0.2.
