Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Audio Interface

Hi,

Was thinking of buying the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Audio Interface Red PRODAUDIOSTAR as interface with AUDACITY.
Wanted to confirm that audacity will work with this interface & there are no problems .
Have the Mbox mini which is not compatible. I wanted to confirm before I spend more money.
Using Macbook pro 10.6.8 laptop.

Searching the forum for “Scarlett 2i2” (in box at top right of page) shows a couple of users who appear to confirm that this box can work ok with AudacityO Oldbear and JVern1987.

It’s not on our current list of devices known to work well with Audacity - see this sticky thread: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/sound-card-reviews/8375/1

If you do get one and feel like wring a review for that thread we would be grateful.

Looks a nice piece of kit - sturdily built.

I’m running a Macbook Pro OS x 10.8.2 with Audacity 2.0.2 and I use a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB interface. It works great for me other than I have yet to figure out why I can max my levels but still end up with an MP3 that has low levels. Other than that I love the Scarlett 2i2.

I have a PC with Windows 7. The Scarlett 2i2 produces skips and gaps when I record to Audacity. I have gone back to using my Zoom H4N to record solo guitar because of this.
