Running MACOS High Sierra 10.13.4, and just updated to Audacity 2.2.2 today.
Playing back a recent recording and the playback is clean, but the visual/screen playback (what I see) is choppy and hard to follow/edit.
I've rebooted my MAC a few times just to be safe (used to work in the IT field but it's been a few years now) because I know this is a frequent culprit.
I'm new to Audacity but haven't had this type of problem, only upon first use after updating from a previous version.
Any thoughts here?
Upgraded to 2.2.2 and playback is choppy?

Perhaps you are zoomed in too close?
Try zooming out so that you can see the entire track (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/zooming.html). Is that any better?
