2.1.2 file icons keep showing when dragging into program

2.1.2 file icons keep showing when dragging into program
I've been using 2.1.1 for a long time and it's worked great for what I do. I decided to try out 2.1.2 and found when I drag a file into the program, the file's icon remain showing in the window until import is complete. I was wondering if this is normal and if there's a reason for it. Is there some theoretical benefit? Thanks.

This must be some kind of bug. I just noticed that the icon stays on the screen even if I switch to another program. No previous version of Audacity or any other program does this, it only started in 2.1.2; but 2.1.3 does it too. I'm using Windows XP so I'll just stick with 2.1.1; it gets the job done.
