I also record with a snowball mic but I am not having a problem with that. Any help would be awesome. Ok well I found out it is the Snowball mic for some reason it is not recording that correctly or my headphone mic the only mic that records really at is is the builtin one. Is there a way to shut the built in mic off but still use the headphone mic or the snowball and have it record correctly.Ubuntu 9.04 Audacity 1.3.7

Ok so I an recording at Mono, 44100 Hz, and 24 bit PCM Now here is the wierd part it started recording in Dictation mode. While recording rather then it just record and I speed the dictation up or down it recorded at about 1/2 the speed. Now how do I fix this I don't sound like a slow orge with a speech impediment. I also record with a snowball mic but I am not having a problem with that. Any help would be awesome.
