Initial View Changed

Help for Audacity on Windows.

Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

Initial View Changed

Hi,

tried to figure out what irked me about the new version of Audacity ( 2.2.0 ), this is it:

How can I set the initial view of an opened file's waveform to be "Zoom To Selection" ?

You have to wait for the upcoming 2..2.1 - this is a bug that was found in 2.2.0 just after we released it, sorry.

It has already been fixed for 2.2.1. http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1765

In the meantime just click ion the Zoom to Fit buton in the Edit toolbar - or its shortcut Ctrl + F

You can either:
import files with the "File menu > Import > Audio"
or
import files by dragging and dropping on an open Audacity window.
