Hello, everyone.
First, I am new here, so I might need guidance.
I am a fan of a game called Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2, and I decided to mod it. Some of my units needs new voiceovers from voice actors, and some of them contributed to the mod.
My question is, how do I make a Walkie-Talkie effect that is almost perfect like the game does?
Here is examples of voiceovers with walkie-talkie effect that the Game use:

Here is an example of a voiceover for a unit in my mod with no filters (RAW), voiceover by https://www.georgeexley.com/

I have tried methods, but I can't give even a similar fashion. Hoping more in this community to help me.

Try the Audacity Distortion effect
1) Select your audio
2) Effect > Distortion
3) click the Manage button
4) choose Factory Presets
5) choose Walkie-Talkie
6) use the Apply button (or preview first with the Start Playback button)
and note that other distortion presets are available

Thanks for replying.
The result seems promising, but yet it's sharpy. How do I make reduce it's sharpness?

Re: Old-Styled Walkie Talkie like Sound Effect
after loading the Walkie-talkie preset you can then tweak the controls.
See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/distortion.html
I can't give you any advice on how to unsharpen it - I'm no expert with this effect

There's also this "Tannoy" effect which may be suitable with appropriate settings: viewtopic.php?p=325922#p325922
