MATCH EQ With AUDACITY

Post by pennyroyaltea94 » Mon Oct 02, 2017 5:00 am

So I been reading around and apparently with

AUDACITY's

Analyze , Plot Specturm , Freq Analysis

You can generally get EQ Settings used on a PRO RECORDINGS ?

So I could stick in an AUDIO WAVE OF Nirvana Smells Like Teen Spirit and kind of see what

Andy Wallace and Butch Vig Did ?

Also found this topic on another board , check it out ?

This only works well if you know what the original was. A certain tonal boost is going to have very different effects between a Glen Glenn sound recording and me in the back yard. That and not all corrections show up in the equalization. Echo and phase corrections don't necessarily cause volume changes.
