need to plug two usb microphones into audacity to do podcasts can this be done

i believe it depends from your sound card and its interface. By itself Audacity can't manage separatly 2 micrphones.felixthecat535 wrote:Help please

Audacity will accept up up 16 audio channels from any one audio device. It will not accept more than one device, so no, you can select either of the USB microphones, not both.
You should be able to do this whether or not you have a sound card in your machine. The sound card counts as one device.
Lots of people make simple analog audio mixers that connect to the computer with USB, but I don't know of a USB mixer. It's possible. People are still shy of digital audio stuff because of delay and latency issues. If you listen to yourself in headphones, you can get a delay between your speech and the sound. Drives most people nuts.
