Just moved on to a decent mic and am using the Steinberg UR12 interface. Everything works well except for playback. The verbiage I recorded is replaced by a strange machine sound and the moving marker line moves real slow. The only error I get is something has not 'migrated'. Everything works well in Reaper, so far. Any ideas? The drivers for the Steinberg loaded smoothly.

Re: Playback not playing
Which sample rate and bit depth are you using? I see the Steinberg is happy with 192 KHz, 24-bit as a top end, but I think I would start with CD quality, 44,100KHz 16-bit just to see if it works. Since you upgraded your system hardware, I suspect there is the temptation to up the digital sound quality, too.
