Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum and I am not sure if this is the correct subforum. But I hope it is.
Anyway, I have two audiofiles: Both are songs, both with the same vocals, but with different beats. The vocals are EXACTLY the same: Same time, speed, pitch, you get what I mean. It's just that they use different beats.
Now I'm wondering, is there a way to filter out only the sounds of the two audio files that are the same? So that I end up with (almost) only the vocals?
Looking forward to helpful replies!
Thank you!

Re: Filter the same sounds of two audio files
Previously I would have said "no, that won't work", but given some relatively new developments, I have an idea that 'may' work to some extent. To enable us to test, could you post about 5 or 6 seconds of both songs, with the same vocal in each. Export the samples in WAV format. Short WAV files may be attached directly to forum posts. Of course!
By the way, the song is "Love Letters" by Watsky!

Re: Filter the same sounds of two audio files
This is a mix of the two tracks after applying "vocal isolation" with this effect: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/voca ... ation.html
