problems recording audio streams using Dell

Hi. I have noticed that Audacity doesnt record well with Dell computers using sound cards by Sigmatel. Even tho I have selected the input as Stereo Mix, I am trying to record a stream from youtube and it only gives me the option to record in Mono.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and has found a way to overcome it.

I did find a toolbar from Ask.com that records audio streams in stereo, so i am using that in the meantime.
