Just started using Audacity and it seems to be great program - congratulations!! My operating system is Windows ME with Nero Burning. The problem is that I can't make a music CD. No problem with data CD. I only have Windows Media Player and wonder if there is another player program I can get. Not very savvy about computers and things like WAV files etc are confusing.
Cany someone help?

Re: Making Music CD
All you need to do is to create a set of WAV files for you CD. In your Audacity project(s) place a label at each track break - use the Ctrl-B shortcut - and don't forget to place a label right at the beginning for the first track.
Then use Audacity's Export Multiple command (available from the File drop-down) to export a multiple set of WAVs.
Then just use you Nero software to burn a CD
The Audacity Wiki, Documentation and Turorials have much useful information on how to do this - a recommended read - http://audacityteam.org/help/

BTW: don't be confused by WAVs they are just a particular file format for music - they are uncompressed, so no audio data lost - but they are bigger than the compressed MP3 files which are often more suitable for portable MP3 players/iPods where disc space is a premium - but the size reduction is at a loss in audio quality. Normally most CD players will only play WAV format - though some now will also play MP3 (but not many). There are several other file formats for music - but the ones you are most likely to use right now are WAV and MP3.
