Player that plays exported wav loops without end gap?

Post by frew_frew » Thu Jan 26, 2017 7:20 pm

Hello,

When I export a wav loop of say a couple bars from Audacity,
all players I try leave a gap of space at the end of the playback.

The old C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe
that is, Windows Media Player 6.4, would always play back short wav loops
beautifully with no space at end.

Windows Media Player 6.4 will not install on Windows 10.

Yes I could duplicate the wav a bunch of times then export,
but I'm hoping to find a player that will leave no gap at end of playback.

Mp3s, yes, no getting around the gap at end of playback.

But for wav files, no need for that gap.

Thanks for any ideas.

I just happened to find
XMPlay at
http://www.un4seen.com/
when searching for gapless playback.
Seems pretty nice.
Without any adjustments plays wav file loops back without gaps.
Hadn't found that before when looking around.
