Function question

Post by SoundCard » Wed Dec 21, 2016 7:00 am

Greetings,
I am 99% sure,on one of the YouTube videos about Audacity, that I saw the instructor being able to select a marker and drag it along the spectrum window (waveform window),.....and he and the listener (me) could hear the real time sound of the waveform. If he slid it along quickly you'd get the Chipmunks. This was not the playback at a faster speed. This was the slider being moved through the waveform. Having had this in broadcasting, I find it immeasurably useful.
So what setting is this 'greenhorn' missing here? I can't seem to track it down.

thanks,

-ray

That's called scrubbing and last I knew it was a work in progress.
