Please help! Out of options and beyond frustrated.
I've followed everything to a tee from this instruction link:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_ ... ml#maclame
The installation part seem to go fine but when it comes to exporting a file as an MP3 I still get the browse window and it says it can't find the file and cannot export as an MP3. I have tried this about 5 times now, deleted, tried again, rebooted system, everything.
I'm using Chrome on a Macbook OSX El Capitan 10.11.4.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!

Re: Can't get LAME plug in to work for anything
I'm puzzled. What does Chrome have to do with all of this?
A workaround could be to export as a wav, open in iTunes and convert to mp3. Or use another conversion program like Sox.

Yeah, after I wrote that, I realized it was probably irrelevant! So, forget my comment about Chrome. I will try your suggestion and see if it works. Thank you!
