I have 1.2.x with a imac intel - I got Audacity for a couple projects. The first one I thought would be easy, but hence I have run into trouble and Ill ask something that will probably be easy for you experts out there. I have recorded concert that is over a hour - I converted it into .Wav from Flac so I could burn a CD, but first I wanted to use Audacity to split it into tracks for the CD and MP3 for the iPod. I was able to pull the wav file from my HD into Audacity, but I can't seem who to figure out how to label each track (and then Ill need to burn it with all the labels etc...) Can you assist me? Thanks!

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: Newbie wanting assist on labeling
That article artfully tip-toes around the fact that you can't actually burn the song titles into the music. That article is to print the song titles on the printable CD itself with your ink jet printer, or to print the song titles on a piece of paper that you then slide into the CD case.
Music CDs do not support song titles playing back along with the music.

Re: Newbie wanting assist on labeling
Hi -
Thanks for replies! I think I am getting this how I want it. I have split up the material into 15 tracks using labels named 01-15, saved as a .aup file, now I think I need to export it and then write the tittles. I don't want to burn the song tittles on CD per se, only have a guideline as to where each song begins for a reference point and so I can use it to my advantage in iTunes. I think i've got it...Thanks for the help!

Thanks for that as well!
I had no issues exporting - However iTunes (8.x) did not put tracks in order which was a small task, but now my long 1 hour concert is broken up and I can choose the tracks I want. Yea...
