Splitting large files into timed tracks, not labeled tracks.

Post by Granpoh » Sat Mar 28, 2009 6:09 am

Hi,

I have a large file that I wish to split into 5 minute tracks all the way through. Is there a way to do this without having to manually go through the entire file labeling a different track every 5 minutes?

Thanks for all help

Use Audacity 1.3.7

"Analyze menu > Regular interval labels"

When the regular interval labels are set, you can then use "Export Multiple" from the file menu.

Tip - to avoid having to click multiple times on the metatag editor pop-up, you can disable it in "Edit menu > Preferences > Import/Export tab".
